Women’s Work Presents First Concert of 2012 Series |

| Women’s Work will present the first concert of its 2012 series, featuring the Palisades Virtuosi, flutist Margaret Swinchoski, clarinetist Donald Mokrynski and pianist Ron Levy, hosted by series curator Beth Anderson.Concert repertoire will include three works commissioned by the Palisades Virtuosi: Pulitzer Prize-winner Melinda Wagner’s Thumbnail Moon (2009), Full Circle (2008) by Gwyneth Walker for flute, clarinet & piano and Birding in the Palisades (2008) by Amanda Harberg. Other works to be presented are Elizabeth Raum’s Baroque Suite for flute, clarinet and harpsichord (orig. piano) (1989), Rondo for Ron (2011) for flute, clarinet & piano by Nancy Bloomer Deussen and 64 & 1/2 (2000) for flute, clarinet & piano by Margarita Zelenaia, transcribed by her for the ensemble.Admission to the March 2 concert is $20 general, $10 for students and seniors.
