The place known as Greenwich Village is known for many things, great
food, great entertainment, and is a wonderful hub of culture for New
York City. Greenwich Village has been the backdrop and setting of many
great films and cultural events as well. Iconic in nature, Greenwich
Village has a distinct charm and quieter hub feeling in contrast to the
other parts on New York City.
Over the years some of the greatest entertainers have gotten their
start in the café’s and venues of Greenwich Village such as James
Taylor, Joan Baez, Peter, Paul and Mary, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Barbra Streisand, The Lovin' Spoonful, Jackson Browne, and Eric Andersen, just to name a few.
Today some of the greatest celebrities live in and around the quaint
place they call "The Village". Including actresses/actors such as; Emma Stone, Julianne Moore, Jonathan Davies, Uma Thurman, Edward Norton, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julia Roberts,
Leontyne Price, Amy Sedaris, and other famous people such as Barbara
Pierce Bush, daughter of former U.S. President George W. Bush. Other
